Although this saying seems to be very common, is it really true?

However, it is also possible that the woman has never even heard of the saying above. Or, it could be as Sigmund Freud once said, "the unconscious mind of the person is where the intentions or motivations come from." This would assume that beautiful and seductive women always have as their priority to choke their spouses. However, this seems a little far fetched.

On the other hand, Freud's theory is not hard to believe. It's indeed possible that everyone has motives that he or she might not really be conscious about. The people around him or her could only interpret his or her actions as possible intentions. But, the only person who knows the truth is oneself. No question about the act of giving gifts because it may be a part of traditions. But, what to give for a gift has a lot of interpretations.

And so, the interpretation of a necktie for a gift may vary. The woman's desire to dominate the relationship or choke the partner with her restrictions and all those controlling rules could be one. However, it could also be interpreted that the woman simply has a deep desire to make her partner look more attractive by choosing the right design for his necktie.

Say for instance, she finds him so right for an escort in a ball but she fears that he would not wear the right tie for his suit, which ideally is better when it matches her dress. Or, it could also be that she desperately wants to date him but because of his poor taste for his necktie, she feels unconfident to walk in for a fine-dining with him.

So, for those men who'd already received neckties from your girlfriends, it's up to you to find out their true motives. Whether or not it's just for fashion's sake, never send those items back even if the style or design doesn't satisfy your own taste! Gifts are blessings, as well as relationships. It's good to appreciate your partners for such effort. And, don't worry about their possible hidden desire to dominate. Remember, she can never choke you to death if you won't allow her.
