Get back with the ex, or go for the new guy?
My ex and I have two kids, and about 4 yrs behind us. We went through a messy separation last year, and we have tried to work it out on and off, since March of this year. We called it quits at the end of July, this year, and since then I have met a really nice new guy. Problem is, I am still in love with my children's father. He is now, more than willing, to find us a relationship counselor and pay out of his pocket to go. I decided to go out with this new guy, in a effort to move on from my ex. But, I find it really difficult to let the ex go. I just don't have, or have any desire, to discover any feelings for any other man. It is as if my heart is attached to my ex, and when I am not with him, it feels like those emotions are just not present at all. If that makes sense.... Should I try to do this relationship counseling, or should I cut my losses? Seems like he is really trying to make a effort, now for me and the kids. I am starting to think that this is a test of some sorts, maybe from God.? And I am not really religious, but it is too weird that it seems to all be happening at once. I need some advice!!! Thanks.
Why we broke up to begin with: He is a alcoholic, who proved to be unreliable, left me home with our oldest daughter while I was pregnant with the second, cheated on me while I was pregnant, then left me for that women. That was over a year and a half ago. Since then, we have tried about 2 times this past summer to get it together. He actually, keeps breaking up with me every time. My family, in the meantime, HATE him. Cannot even stand to be in the same room with him. Even if we reconcile and everything is great, I just don't see them ever getting over that. So, if I choose him, in essence, I will loose my family, too. I don't know what to do. Physically abusive? No. Emotionally? Absolutely.

Should my partner and I stay living together through counseling?
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years and have a 3 year old son together, we argue constantly and haven't been getting along to well. He moved out of our family home one week ago and we have an appointment set up to start relationship counseling to see if we can make it work, because we both love each other very much. My question is, I believe he should come home while we try to work through things so that we can move forward, he is very hesitant though as he is staying at his mothers (who has never been a fan of me) help please!
I forgot to mention that because of funds-our counseling appointment isn't for 3 1/2 weeks...

Please help with my marriage!?
I`ve been together with my husband for about 10 years, married for 5.. I`ve been unhappy for last 2 years. Recently we`ve had massive arguments, last night he drove off.. and he doesn`t listen to me. not sure if there`s anything to save, but if there is, what do i do? relationship counselling? but hwere, I don`t know anything about that..
We live in UK, in Shaftesbury and I am not sure if we have anything around here.
Please help!
